THE PEACOCK FOUNDATION, founded in 2002 by family therapist Lisa Peacock, was the first Animal-Assisted Intervention mental health program for children in Los Angeles. Kids and animals are brought together under the guidance of trained professionals to overcome social and emotional barriers so they can be free to learn new skills… and feel better!

Founder & CEO, The Peacock Foundation

When I was 9 years old my mom took me to a therapist after my father was killed in a plane crash. I left his office and walked down the dismal hallway trying to figure out what was wrong with me. No child should feel this way, especially not in therapy. The Peacock Foundation is devoted to being a first contact. Help us reach more kids with good therapeutic methods so they reach for help in the future.
